Rhodolite Garnet

Rhodolite garnet is a gemstone that belongs to the garnet family. It is transparent and has a rich red-purple color reminiscent of berries such as raspberries. It owes its name to the Greek word “rhodon” which means: like the rose.

It has a hardness of 7-7.5 on the Mohs scale.

It is naturally present in several places in the world including: Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania etc.
